It’s an unfortunate fact of life that with aging, eyebrows sag and foreheads wrinkle.  A brow lift, or forehead lift, is a cosmetic surgical procedure which repositions sagging eyebrows as well as helps soften central forehead scowling furrows.

During this surgical procedure, there are a variety of incisions.  Depending on the patient’s needs, incisions can be placed in the hair or at the hairline and can be single, multiple, long or short.  All of these options will be discussed with you during your initial consultation with us. During that visit, it is important that you let your physician know if you have had hypertension, take arthritis medicine or blood thinners and have experienced hair thinning or loss.

Brow lift, or  forehead lift, surgery is done under an outpatient anesthetic.  The first week after brow lift surgery, you should expect bruising and swelling.  Numbness may persist for several weeks to months including areas of the forehead or scalp.  There may also be some scalp tingling sensations.  During your consultation, your plastic surgeon will make sure to discuss everything you can expect throughout your individual recovery period.
