Cheek Augmentation (call for pricing)
Cheek Augmentation is part of a group of cosmetic procedures referred to as Facial Implants. Cheek implants increase the projection of the cheekbones and add volume to flat or recessed areas of the face.
Chin Augmentation (call for pricing)
Chin augmentation, also referred to as mentoplasty, is a cosmetic surgery procedure done to reshape the chin by enhancement with an implant. Often a plastic surgeon may recommend you have chin surgery if you are a patient having nose surgery (rhinoplasty). Combining these cosmetic procedures achieves facial proportion, as the size of the chin may magnify or minimize the perceived size of the nose. Chin surgery provides a harmonious balance to your facial features so that you feel better about the way you look.
Dermabrasion (call for pricing)
Dermabrasion is a controlled, scraping method done by our surgeons, in Indianapolis and Carmel, to improve the look of facial skin left scarred by accidents, acne, previous surgery, or to smooth out fine facial wrinkles, such as those around the mouth. Dermabrasion is a fairly quick procedure depending mostly on the size of the area of skin being treated. The procedure is done under local anesthesia to numb the area and often times, a mild sedative will be given to the patient to ensure relaxation and minimal discomfort during the dermabrasion procedure. Immediately following this procedure, your skin will be quite red and swollen. You’ll probably feel some tingling, burning, or aching. Any pain you feel can be controlled with medications prescribed by your surgeon in Indianapolis and Carmel. The swelling and the raw surface will begin to subside and to heal in a few days to a week. Some pinkness, swelling and sensitivity will be noticeable for several weeks. However, you should be able to return to work within 2 weeks.
Earlobe Repair ($800 – $1,200*)
Earlobe repair is an in-office cosmetic surgery done to correct a tear in the earlobe. The degree of your tear will determine the type of procedure you will need. There is minimal discomfort after earlobe repair and there is no downtime.
Fat Transfer/Fat Grafting ($1,200 – $2,200*)
Fat transfer, also referred to as fat grafting is a cosmetic surgery procedure where a patient’s own fat is collected (suctioned) and re-injected into the desired area of improvement. If you have indentations in your skin, depressed scars, or wrinkles or have an interest in increasing your lip size, this procedure might be helpful to you. Sedation plus local anesthesia will usually be used if the amount of fat to be collected is large. If the amount is smaller, the fat can be collected and transferred under simple local anesthesia. The recovery time for a fat transfer procedure is normally 7-10 days with tender and soreness lasting approximately 10-14 days. Swelling duration depends on the area injected.
Inverted Nipple Correction (call for pricing)
Inverted nipple correction is a procedure performed on men and women who have nipples that have been inverted since birth or have become inverted due to injury, infection or previous attempt at correction. Dr. Aker developed a unique approach to this procedure as well as its after-care. Using a small stent for traction to ensure the nipple retains eversion, this procedure repairs the nipple, retains nipple projection, leaves minimal scarring and gives a natural appearance. Discomfort after the procedure is minimal and recovery is very quick. The results of the surgery are long lasting .
Labiaplasty or Labioplasty ($2,300 – $2,500*)
Labiaplasty, also referred to as labioplasty is an outpatient cosmetic procedure done to reduce the length and projection of the labia minora (inner lips). This procedure can be done two different ways. The first, and simplest, approach is removal of leading edge of the labia, thereby shortening and reducing it. The edge is then repaired with dissolvable sutures. This technique leaves a scar along the outer edge of the labia. Another technique involves removal of a wedge or pie shaped piece from the center, reducing both the length and projection. This leaves a scar across the labia from inside to outside. Both techniques are typically done under general anesthesia as an outpatient surgery.
Lesion Removal (call for pricing)
Lesion removal is an outpatient procedure done to remove lesions such as unsightly moles and/or cysts if you have a concern about possible skin cancer or if you are uncomfortable with them and want them gone. Skin tumors or cysts are usually removed under local anesthesia and are excised in the best possible orientation, and are sutured using plastic surgery techniques. Pain is usually minimal.
Lip Augmentation ($2,700*)
The lips are a natural focal point of the face. Because of this, it is very important that the lip enhancement look very natural and that it not interfere with normal expression. Any increase in the volume of the lips should be carefully considered and lip augmentation is no different. Long term and nearly permanent lip augmentation is achieved by injecting the patient’s own fat, placement of a dermis graft from the patient or the use of man-made materials such as Goretex. We believe that subtlety and careful enhancement of a patient’s natural form are preferable to the idea of maximizing lip volume. All of these options will be thoroughly discussed with you during your personal consultation with the plastic surgeon. We also offer fillers such as Restylane & Juvederm. Nipple Reduction (call for pricing)
Nipple reduction is a cosmetic procedure done on both men and women who have excess nipple projection. Nipple reduction can be done in our office under local anesthesia by removing a wedge from the tip of the nipple which is then sutured with dissolvable sutures. Sometimes the skin along the neck of the nipple will be removed as well. The tip of the nipple is then sutured to the base of the nipple, creating a shortened nipple length. Healing is fast and scarring is rarely visible. Sensitivity is usually maintained and the visual results are beautiful.
Scar Revision (call for pricing)
Scar revision is an outpatient procedure done to remove a wide, thick, depressed or unsightly scar. One of several plastic surgery techniques is used to repair the incision to allow for the best chance of obtaining an improved scar that is flatter, thinner, smoother and less noticeable. Scar revisions are almost always done on an outpatient basis and post-operative pain is usually minimal.
