About CoolSculpting Treatment

CoolPLUSCoolSculpting in Carmel just got better! Introducing CoolSculpting PLUS – an enhanced CoolSculpting treatment with a new innovative technology called Z-wave, which improves our patients’ CoolSculpting treatment results. We are the first and only practice in Indiana to offer this enhanced CoolSculpting treatment.

Following a CoolSculpting treatment, the standard protocol is to do a manual massage on the treated area. The massage technique has been proven to improve the results versus no massage at all. Now, we are going one step further and using the Z-wave after each CoolSculpting treatment.

According to the studies, the use of a Z-wave treatment following a CoolSculpting treatment increases the efficacy of each treatment by up to 50%.

What Is the CoolSculpting Procedure?

The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure is FDA-cleared and contours the body by safely and effectively freezing away unwanted fat for good without surgery or downtime. CoolSculpting technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you.

After consulting with one of our certified CoolSculpting specialists to determine your personalized course of treatment, a gel pad will be applied to the area in which you want to reduce fat, followed by the CoolSculpting applicator. No anesthetic is required, so no shots are needed.

The applicator will draw up the targeted tissue between its two cooling panels then the cooling begins. During your procedure, feel free to read, check your email, or even take a nap.

Each CoolSculpting treatment requires about 1 hour per area. Therefore, if you want to treat the hip-waist area on both the right and the left, your treatment session would require about 2 hours. You can freeze fat off on multiple areas of your body with the CoolSculpting procedure, and additional sessions may further enhance your results. Your CoolSculpting specialist will help you create an individualized treatment plan tailored just for you.

The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure is completely non-surgical, so you can typically return to normal activities immediately.

In the weeks and months to follow, your body naturally processes and eliminates the treated fat cells. Once the fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good.

Your CoolSculpting will be performed in Dr. Aker‘s surgery center located in Carmel, IN.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a good candidate?
The CoolSculpting fat reduction procedure is specially designed for those who have unwanted fat that resists diet and exercise. Candidates must have realistic goals. Unlike gastric bypass surgery, the CoolSculpting procedure is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese. It is, however, a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Good candidates have noticeable bulges in certain areas they’d like to get rid of. Candidates must not have certain pre-existing health conditions that could affect the safety of the treatment. Request a one-on-one consultation to determine if the CoolSculpting procedure is right for you.
Do I need a consultation before treatment?
It is important to come in for a consultation prior to your CoolSculpting treatment. This will allow you to express your concerns and goals. You will need to let us know about your complete medical history, including any pre-existing conditions, allergies, past treatments, and current medications. A physical examination will also be performed.

The next part of the consultation will involve a discussion of your recommended treatment plan. The treatment plan will be based on the size, location, and number of treatment areas, along with your desired results.

We will explain any recommended preparation steps, the details of the treatment session, aftercare, and cost. Any questions you may have will be answered during your consultation.
