“Deflate-gate” got you down?
Do you feel deflated when you look in the mirror?
Did you know that over time we slowly lose volume in our face? This is caused by gradual thinning of the skin, loss of elasticity, shrinkage of the deeper tissues and settling with gravity. The good news is that youthful appearance can be restored without surgery by injecting fillers that are designed to replace what is lost over time.
Hyaluronic acid is found throughout the body, and is the main component of fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane. It can be injected to restore volume to the lips, reduce smile lines or tear troughs (the dark circles under the eyes). Modified hyaluronic acid fillers such as Voluma can be used to restore deeper tissue volume, such as hollow cheeks.
Radiesse is SA filler that is composed of Calcium hydroxyapatite which is a component of our teeth and bones. When injected into the deeper soft tissues of the face or hands it replenishes lost volume by stimulating your body to produce its own collagen.
Unfortunately, deflationary changes are not limited to the face. Pregnancy changes, weight fluctuations, gravity and the passage of time can result in loss of breast volume. Breast augmentation is the most common plastic surgery procedure every year. Either saline (salt water filled) or gel (silicone gel filled) implants can be placed to restore or enhance breast volume. Our practice has 19 years of experience performing thousands of breast augmentations through small incisions in the armpit area. We also offer more traditional approaches through the breast crease or around the areola; however, most women choose the armpit approach because they do not want a scar on the breast.
