What is Latisse?
If you are one of the many people affected by thin, short eyelashes, you will be happy to know there is a treatment to help make them more strikingly beautiful.
Latisse is the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. FDA approval for a medication comes only after carefully performed scientific studies demonstrate the drug to be safe and effective.
With regular applications along the lash line of the upper eyelid Latisse gradually encourages growth of longer, thicker and darker eyelashes. Latisse isn’t meant to be applied to the lower eyelid. Some improvement will be seen after 4-8 weeks of daily use; maximum improvement is seen after 16 weeks.
Eyelash improvements remain as long as you continue to use the medication. When you stop using Latisse, your eyelashes will eventually return to their original appearance. The most common side effects after using Latisse® are eye itching or eye redness, or an aesthetically pleasing (temporary) “eyeliner” staining at the bases of the lashes.
If you really want to give Latisse a try, you will need to make it part of your regular daily routine and have patience to wait for the results, which will come in a couple months. Let the specialists at Sando Aker My Plastic Surgery Group guide you in your eyelash transformation.
